Acknowledgement of Sovereignty and Traditional Authority

We acknowledge the Yidindji people who have cared for the land in the area of the Wet Tropics and Great Barrier Reef near Cairns; and that their land was never ceded. We acknowledge the Traditional Authority in the places we organise from, for example, of the Gimuy Walubara Yidindji, the Ngambri in Canberra, the Eora in Sydney and the Wurundjeri in Narrm. We recognise and honour them, their elders, the ancestors, the emerging leaders. And we thank them for looking after the beautiful country that is the Land that sustains us.
